Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Baritone- Obsidian Storm Satin
With the Prophecy series, Epiphone re-engineered Gibson's most iconic silhouettes from the ground up, turning shapes players know by heart into modern, high-gain machines. The Prophecy Les Paul Baritone begins with the contemporary essentials you'd expect on a performance-driven guitar, including a graphite-reinforced neck, 24 stainless steel frets with rounded-over ends, locking Grover tuners, and a Graph Tech nut. Epiphone then took things a step further, offering a redesigned LockTone Modern bridge with roller saddles, a string-through body adapted from a 1930s Frequensator tailpiece, and DAPS, an all-new pickup mounting system that delivers more stability than traditional body mounting. At its core, the Les Paul Baritone pairs a mahogany body and flame maple veneer top with a thermally aged maple neck, stretched to a 27-inch scale that suits even the lowest tunings and the heaviest gauges. Epiphone carved that neck to its all-new HyperGlide profile, a D shape that's slim yet still substantial in the hand, and topped it with a 10–14-inch compound-radius ebony fingerboard. Sonically, custom-voiced Fishman Fluence active pickups deliver a modern high-output voice and a vintage-inspired PAF-style voice, each with a coil split. Even with the gain cranked, the pickups remain tight and articulate. The outline of the Prophecy Les Paul Baritone may be pure vintage, but this guitar is designed for today's player, optimized for speed, comfort, and performance.
