Fender American Professional Jazz Bass V 3-color Sunburst

The American Professional Jazz Bass V is engineered to be the ultimate evolution of the historic J Bass, preserving the signature snarl and genre-defying versatility that have made the model an icon while introducing a suite of performance-focused upgrades. From the alder body’s sculpted neck heel to the sustain-enhancing HiMass Pro bridge, every element of this 5-string has been optimized for stability and playing comfort. The graphite-reinforced maple neck sports a 9.5-inch radius and a slim C profile that’s sure to please technique-heavy players seeking maximum speed. Under the hood, overwound V-Mod III single-coil pickups enhance the old-school snarl and thump of a classic J-style pickup with improved clarity and presence. Plus, you get a set of ClassicGear Precision pots that provide a smooth, consistent taper when adjusting the Volume and Tone knobs. Lightweight, tapered tuning keys with a vintage-style slot-in design tie things together with roadworthy tuning reliability. When you take the American Professional Jazz Bass V to your next gig or session, you’ll understand why the J Bass has stood as an American icon for more than six decades.
