JHS is synonymous with top-tier overdrive tones, and the Wanderer 2-in-1 drive pedal may just be the company’s most ambitious and well-thought-out design to date. Combining the wildly popular Morning Glory overdrive with the celebrated NOTAKLÖN in a compact form factor with flexible tone-shaping and routing options, Wanderer is a do-it-all overdrive powerhouse. Each circuit has its own control set, and the circuits are easily routed via a toggle switch. Josh Scott, founder of JHS, told us here at Sweetwater that he uses the Morning Glory as an always-on boost, stacking the NOTAKLÖN on top for big rhythms and utilizing the dual Red Remote jacks to infuse rhythms and leads with an extra kick. Each circuit also has independent, top-mounted Input and Output jacks, which means you can give each side of Wanderer a dedicated loop switcher or place other pedals between the two circuits, a level of configuration flexibility never before seen on any JHS dual-circuit pedal. Complete with silent soft-touch switching, buffered bypass, and a fitting UFO graphic, stepping on the JHS Wanderer is like discovering a whole new world of overdrive and distortion.
